Returns & Refunds

Due to the medical and diagnostic nature of our products, Unique Biosciences maintains a strict safety protocol regarding returns.

Diagnostic Test Kits

·       Once a collection kit (e.g., UniquePerioSignature Panel) has been shipped, it cannot be returned for a refund. This is due to the potential for contamination and the requirement to maintain sterile chain-of-custody for diagnostic integrity.

  • Replacement Kits: If your kit arrives damaged or missing components, please contact us at support@uniquebiosciences.com within 48 hours of delivery. We will ship a replacement kit at no additional cost.
  • Laboratory Processing Fees: Refunds for the "Laboratory Processing" portion of a service are only available if requested before the sample has been received and checked into our facility. Once a sample enters the "Processing" phase, no refunds will be issued.
  • Invalid Samples: If a sample is rejected by the lab due to insufficient volume or contamination, we will provide one (1) replacement kit at a discounted "Resample Fee" of $25 to cover shipping and materials.

For UniqueSmile and UniqueGut Probiotics:

This item is non-returnable due to potential safety risk as an ingestible product.

Subscription Cancellation: If you are on a subscription plan, you may cancel at any time. However, once a monthly shipment has been processed and a tracking number generated, that specific order cannot be refunded.

UniquePerioSignature Panel

Unique Biosciences provides salivary DNA diagnostic testing (the "Services") for informational and clinical support purposes. Our reports (UniquePerioSignature Panel) are intended for use by licensed dental and medical professionals to assist in clinical decision-making. While our panels provide high-precision DNA data, the reports generated do not constitute a medical diagnosis. All clinical decisions, prescriptions, and treatment plans are the sole responsibility of the attending licensed practitioner

UniqueSmile and UniqueGut Probiotics

Our probiotic products are categorized as dietary supplements. They are intended to support general wellness and microbial balance; they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

2. Sample Integrity & Shipping

  • Users must follow the SalivaPreserv collection instructions exactly as provided.
  • Unique Biosciences is not responsible for DNA degradation resulting from improper collection or excessive delays in return shipping that exceed our validated stability windows.

3. Data Privacy & Security

We adhere to strict data privacy standards. Patient data is de-identified during the laboratory processing phase. For more information on how we handle Personal Health Information (PHI), please refer to our HIPAA Compliance Statement.

4. Limitation of Liability

Unique Biosciences shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our diagnostic kits or the clinical interpretation of lab results by third-party providers.

UniqueSmile and UniqueGut Probiotics

1. No Medical Warranty Unique Biosciences provides probiotics as dietary supplements to support microbial balance. We make no guarantee that these products will "cure" any specific condition. All information provided is for educational purposes and is not a substitute for professional medical or dental advice.

2. Assumption of Risk By purchasing UniqueSmile™ or UniqueGut™, you acknowledge that individuals react differently to probiotic strains. Unique Biosciences is not liable for any adverse reactions, including but not limited to digestive discomfort, allergic reactions, or interference with existing medications. Consult your physician before use.

3. Maximum Liability Cap To the maximum extent permitted by law (including Texas Business & Commerce Code), the total aggregate liability of Unique Biosciences for any claim arising out of the purchase or use of our probiotics shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific order in question.

4. Exclusion of Indirect Damages Unique Biosciences shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (such as lost wages or medical costs) resulting from the use of our products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

5. Storage & Handling We are not liable for product degradation or loss of potency caused by customer negligence, including improper storage in high-heat environments or failure to retrieve shipments promptly.
